Spring in Japan

Spring in Japan means cherry blossom and fresh starts for many lives.
Cheery blossoms loved by Japanese people bloom in time and brighten up people`s hearts as well as the land scape. They start falling down gracefully one or two weeks later.
People treasure the fleeting beauty of the blossoming. My sentimental spirits drift with fluttering petals

A Matabee cherry tree.

.
Can you guess how old this majestic tree is ? This drooping type of cherry tree is now estimated to be around 3 hundred years old.
This tree stands at the corner of the Matabee`s house garden. The name of Matabee cherry tree was named after “Matabee” the owner of the house by the villagers. This tree has been silently standing there, and overlooked the village for ages.
Three pictures were taken by me.
A Matabee cherry tree is located in Uda city Nara.
