Rape blossoms enduring in the snow .
Five years will have passed in the next sping since I moved to Nara after my husband retired.
In Tokyo and Ibaraki prefecture, where I lived many years, it has snow a couple of times in a winter.I had to shovel snow on our path with my neighbors when we had much snow.
Ocasionally,I had lumbago because of the heavy work.
The snow quickly melted in Nara this time as temperature did not go down.
The bloom of the apricot bending under the snow in our garden.
Camellia in our garden.
Nara Park. This is my favorite scene.
This photo was taken in my friend’s garden.
Do you imagine when I took this photo?
I am always scared of walking in the dark, but I was very different on that day.
I wore my coat and walked to my friend’s house around 9 p.m.
Who gave me this courage to do so?
I wanted to see how the snow scene was taken at night.
The following day in the same garden.
The field covered with snow.
The first snow in Nara really excited me. I found this small spring while walking .
Rape blossoms by the field.
Happy spring sign!

How tasteful these pictures are! I am truly amazed. Though I also enjoyed this snow, I had a terrible time driving a car, caught in a traffic jam.
Amazing! Falling snow seems to stop in the air! It is a very creative idea to take photos of falling snow at night. Next time, I will try it!
The forth one is my favorite. It is hard to capture the moment when the proper fog covers moutains, sometimes too dense and sometimes too damp and sometimes too thin! You made it!!
I missed to take pictures of the camellia with snow in my garden!
Your snow has a delicate look, not at all frigid and harsh. The Camellia is beautiful with it's dusting of snow and I agree your favorite scene is special! I once walked out to my field alone in the dark, just before dawn to photograph a sunrise, afterward I too wondered how I had done that.
Each and every photo is breathtaking! The image of snow falling at night looks so refined, so modern, and at the same time looks like traditional Japanese paintings. My favorite is this one.
"The field covered with snow" looks like a huuuge sweet, chocolate cake coated by frost sugar.
Your photos have some power to heal people.
Probably it is from your point of view.
Subtle movement of fog and still water.....
The scene is just amazing.
I am getting know good photos a little while I have been watching your blog phots. Fuzzy snow in night view is fantastic. The last one is effective, seeing a thing like a bouquet of Spring visit.
Thank you for visiting and making your comments. I enjoyed the first thick snow in Nara with you, though the snowy days had closed quickly. The appricots in my garden are beginning to bloom one after another. It is so pleased for me to see them.I am hoping you enjoy early spring too!
Barb, Cosmos, Snowwhite, Wanda, Stardust, Haricot, Sarah. I appreciate you all.
Barb, thank you again! My header is to become spring today.
Redrose.
We have had over 5 feet (152 centimeters) of snow this winter and I am sick of it now. Your snow looks soft and inviting. I love the couple of landscape type of photos you have included here.
