Diary....December (1)

                                                                                                      Hi, Friends!

                                                                              Autumn leaves are fading away.
My husband likes to go hiking, mostly with his hiking club members. He has not asked me to join them,
because he knows that I am not a person who is good at mountain hiking. I prefer walking on a smooth road
                       by myself with my camera.

However, on a sunny day of autumn I decided to venture in the mountains to see the glorious fall foliage
in the ancient Temple Shoryaku-ji, which is located in the mountainous region of the Nara city.
There is not enough access to the temple. The special buses taking people from the JR Nara Station to the foot
of the temple  run only during autumn.I took the bus and then walked and walked up to the temple as many
                      sightseers do.

Finally I got to the stone wall of the gate.

There were many people enjoying the leaves inside the temple.
Initially I took a simple close up of the Japanese garden with no people in the shot.

                                                                                                    ...... and then.....

Moving back to take the whole scene, I clicked exactly at the moment as figures were away in the frame!

I am thankful for the slow moving pace of nature today!

                                                                                                          Thank you for visit.

                                          奈良の山間部にひっそりとたたずむ 正暦寺。

                                                                                                            Have a wonderful day!

  3. Wow wow wow! Your shots are just breath-taking!

  4. A walk on your own can be very relaxing, Tomoko. You can take your time as you observe your surroundings. You have captured the beauty of the season in nature and the peaceful atmosphere. Each photo is framed perfectly. I love the one of the view of the garden from inside the temple. The colour of the carpet matches the red of some of the leaves on the trees.

  5. Een mooie wandeling heb je gemaakt,Tomoko je hebt de natuur mooi in beeld gebracht, dit is puur genieten al die mooi kleuren.
    lieve groet

You have made a nice walk, Tomoko you have brought beautiful nature into view, this is pure enjoyment all those beautiful colors.

  7. Dear Tomoko with the warm heart full of love and empathy!

  8. Absolutely a beautiful set of five, such richness in nature.

  9. 2nd and 4th are my favorite.
    Now, Let's WALK in nature!
The good shots are brought by your foots. :).

  11. Hello, what a gorgeous place. The trees are so colorful and pretty. Lovely views of the temple and waterfall. Beautiful photos, well done. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

  12. We all need those peaceful moments in our lives. That is a beautiful place to do just that.

  13. Oh how glorious! The architecture of the Temple melds beautifully with the gorgeous landscape. All that wonderful Fall color, too!

  14. So beautiful photos. Autumn is unbelievable for me with these nice colours. It is my favourite season :)

  15. So glad you made the walk all the way up there as the fall colours are spectacular! Wonderful nature photos!

  16. My husband also like mountain hiking and I go sometimes. But, like you, I prefer walking a smooth road with my camera. Thanks for linking up today and have a GREAT weekend!

  17. I visited Nara City last November, and it was really beautiful! It was a very short trip and so, I look forward to going back and maybe exploring more temples and mountains along the way.

  18. Piękne zdjęcia natury.Pozdrawiam serdecznie.

  19. Dearest Tomoko,
For being able to walk up to such a serene place that emits tranquility and beauty is worth it! Excellent photos and one can only ponder about how many foot steps entered that wall and gate to the temple over the ages.
    Thanks for sharing this.

We both are grateful for life's pace at the moment. Garden is in remiss and we had the first frost past night. Husband Pieter is stable because of good medication. Lots for being grateful for!

  20. Hi Tomoko, this is a beautiful place. I like the natural materials, exquisite planting and feeling of peace.
Looks as though you are there on your own!
    Lovely photos...

    Enjoy your week,

  21. Oh my, so beautiful. Seems that autumn came and left so fast here. Makes seeing these photos all the more a joy. Thank you.

  22. こんばんは。ご主人と別行動ですか、我が家もだんだんそうなりつつあります。正暦寺、全然知りませんでした。南都焼き討ちにあったと書いてありました。古い奥ゆかしいお寺ですね。

  23. The autumn colours are so beautiful and breathtaking ! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !

  24. Dear Tomoko!
    Faith makes all things possible,
    Hope makes all things work,
    Love makes all things beautiful,
May you have all the three for this Christmas.

  25. It looks as if it was worth the visit. I'm glad you didn't get people in the shot. Sometimes, people make a picture seem just perfect, other times they are a bit of an intrusion in the picture. I think that a Japanese garden is lovely to admire for artistic reasons, so it is fine without people. I do love that red carpet inside the temple. It picks up the autumnal tones very well. Have a good December, Tomoko!

  26. Beautiful views of the temple gardens and the trees. I love the colours. May I wish you and your family a happy winter holiday season, and happiness, good health and much enjoyment in 2018.

  27. A beautiful place, and autumn colors are amazing. I wish you a happy New Year and best regards.

  28. What a spectacular setting to take fall photos. I love seeing all the vivid colors in such a tranquil setting. Soon you’ll be climbing mountains with your camera, Tomoko!

Thank you for taking the time to leave the comment. Tomoko
